President pays last respects to late Mandela

President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is currently in South Africa paid his last respects to the remains of the former South African President late Nelson Mandela at the Union Buildings in Pretoria last afternoon, states a press release from the Presidential Spokesman and International Media Unit.

The release added: The Union Buildings are the official seat of the South African government.

It is where Mr. Mandela was sworn in as the country's first black President in 1994. President Rajapaksa also attended the State Memorial Service for the late President at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg yesterday.
